Video games should be considered a sport. Colleges around the country are forming video game teams. In fact, every kid likes to play video games. Some college kids can win lots of different games. Some students play video games more than four hours a day! WRITER

Answers

Answer:

Weak argument.

Explanation:

The argument given gives a lot of personal opinions and does not cite evidence. They also fail to use relevant information, and false information. I.E "In fact, every kid likes to play video games." This has no roots in facts and no cited evidence given to prove other wise. There's also a bit of passive voice misuse here, "Some college kids can win lots of different games." You shouldn't use words like some/many/may in an argument. It makes your point look weak, you need to be strong and affirmative.

The Great Debate
On September 26, 1960, seventy-four million viewers tuned in to watch a historic duel: the first televised presidential debate. The candidates were a young, relatively unknown Massachusetts senator named John F. Kennedy and the more experienced incumbent vice president, Richard M. Nixon. Although historians note that the candidates were equally skilled speakers, the differences in their televised performances were considerable. Viewers thought that Nixon, who had recently been hospitalized for an injury, appeared sallow and sweaty; by contrast, Kennedy looked handsome and relaxed. As Kennedy spoke, he fixed his gaze on the camera to address at-home viewers. On the other hand, Nixon directed his responses to reporters off camera, which made him seem cold and distant to television viewers. The differences in their appearances had a dramatic effect. Some people even recall that when they listened to the debate on the radio, they thought that Nixon had won, whereas when they saw clips on TV, they thought Kennedy was the better debater.

Rising Cold War tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union were the main election issue is the main idea.

What is election?

Election is defined as a formal procedure of collective decision-making by which a populace selects a person or people to hold public office. Elections present a significant chance to promote political liberalization and democratization. Certain civic liberties, such as the freedoms of speech, association, and assembly, are necessary for a free and fair election.

Kennedy v. Nixon in 1960 is usually mentioned as the answer to that question. In reality, the first broadcast debate took place four years earlier, when Dwight Eisenhower, the incumbent Republican president, faced off against Democratic nominee Adlai Stevenson. However, neither of these candidates took part in the debate.

Thus, rising Cold War tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union were the main election issue is the main idea.

It this a good email yes or no? Any changes?

Thank you for giving the opportunity to submit my test. I would like to know what will be my current grade.

Answers

Thats actually really good but I just want to make one recomendation. My recommendation is that you should change the very last sentence and make it say "I would like to know my current grade" and not "what will be my current grade," I think this because the term "will" is used for future-tense and the term "current" is used for present-tense, so to me it doesn't make sense for both of the tenses to be in the same sentence. But either way your email is really good. :)

how science and technology affect
society? cite and example and explain it.

Answers

Answer:

n the past, our scientific methods and institutions have tended to emphasize the study of individual natural processes rather than systems, analysis more than synthesis, and understanding nature more than predicting its behaviour. And in many instances, science has focussed on short-term, small-scale problems, often in monodisciplinary mode, rather than on long-term, large-scale or integrated problems. While these approaches and perspectives have built up a considerable base of knowledge and led to a vast portfolio of useful technologies, especially in the 20th century, many of the problems now facing humankind can be solved only if we approach science more holistically. Greater effort is needed to understand integrated natural systems on multiple time and space scales.

Scientific findings must also be applied at the right scales. The impact of technological interventions on individual people, communities and the environment must also be carefully considered. To do this, science needs to become more multidisciplinary and its practitioners should continue to promote cooperation and integration between the social and natural sciences. A holistic approach also demands that science draw on the contributions of the humanities (such as history and philosophy), local knowledge systems, aboriginal wisdom, and the wide variety of cultural values.

The influence of science on people’s lives is growing. While recent benefits to humanity are unparalleled in the history of the human species, in some instances the impact has been harmful or the long-term effects give causes for serious concerns. A considerable measure of public mistrust of science and fear of technology exists today. In part, this stems from the belief by some individuals and communities that they will be the ones to suffer the indirect negative consequences of technical innovations introduced to benefit only a privileged minority. The power of science to bring about change places a duty on scientists to proceed with great caution both in what they do and what they say. Scientists should reflect on the social consequences of the technological applications or dissemination of partial information of their work and explain to the public and policy makers alike the degree of scientific uncertainty or incompleteness in their findings. At the same time, though, they should not hesitate to fully exploit the predictive power of science, duly qualified, to help people cope with environmental change, especially in cases of direct threats like natural disasters or water shortage

We can easily understand this as a second-hand narrative. These chapters are more authoritative than hear-say, because the narrator takes time to build his ethos—or his credibility for telling his brother’s tale. How does the narrator build his ethos/credibility throughout the text? Why are we inclined to believe him? Does he sustain his credibility? write on an essay that says at last we arrived safely

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

Everyone was preparing for the journey.

It was a hectic day at work. But given that all my relatives work at the same office- The Monsoon Inc.- it was a big relief.

The monsoon ministers were going to each individual and giving them instructions of where they had to begin and end their journey.

My parents and I were thankfully given the same starting and ending point.

It might sound funny, but our office was an impromptu one. It was never in the same place. Sometimes it's on a huge cloud, sometimes it's on a small one. Sometimes it's near the sun and sometimes it's near the rainbow.

Anyway, we were all ready to go on our journey now.

My father went first. My mother, next.

It was my turn now. I was petrified. It was my first ever journey as a raindrop.

“Go ahead now! You're going to be fine.” The Monsoon minister consoled me.

I took my first step outside the cloud. And down I went.

It was hard to open my eyes at first. But then when I did, I could see no one I knew around me.

There were stranger drops on leaves, some were falling right beside me, some fell on buildings, some went right on the ground.

Terrified, I looked down on the ground I was about to fall on.

There they were! My parents.

After reaching the ground I let out a sigh of relief. At last, we arrived safely.

Answer and Explanation:

Feel free to change and adapt anything:

I found the visit to the underground caves breathtaking. It was truly scary at first, especially knowing the place hasn't been much explored before. But we had a knowledgeable guide and safety equipment, so the excitement soon replaced the fear. The caves were bigger than I expected, and so silent that we could hear our own breaths and heartbeats. We needed flashlights to be able to look around, and the guide warned us there might be a few bats in at least one of the caverns. We also got to see some stalactites. As we kept on going, we reached a larger cave that had a sort of skylight - an opening on its ceiling that allowed light to flow in. We were able to turn our flashlights off at this point we simply enjoy the natural spectacle. I had a lot of fun. This was an unforgettable experience for me.
