Can anyone write me a madeup 2 page story about a superhero or any type of hero?
Answer:
There's your superhero story.
Explanation:
Toto was a totally normal boy, and was paddling in the sea one day when a sea urchin stung him. At that precise moment, when he was rubbing his foot, he was simultaneously attacked by an octopus, a mosquito and a parrotfish, while being whipped by the tail of a platypus and having a seagull poop on his head. From such an unlikely confluence of events there could only emerge a new superhero, with impressive superpowers:
Superpower Ultra Man! Such were his powers that he immediately thought he should not waste them on little things, and Superpower Ultra Man began hunting danger and threats to the world, so he could save us from the worst of the worst.
But the more he searched with his super-sight, the more he travelled the world with his hyper-velocity, and listened to the skies with his multi-frequency digital hearing, he found no one trying to conquer the galaxy or attempting to blow up the planet. He couldn’t even find some villain planning to drain the seas or plunder a mountain. It seemed as thought everyone, the good and the bad, were busy with much more mundane things, and they only had normal problems. So Superpower Ultra Man spent his days bored, exploring the skies in search of missions impossible that were deserving of a superhero of his calibre. He got so very bored that when they offered him a television program to do, to demonstrate his abilities, he accepted, though he would only get the chance to rescue a few dozen people.
And when, finally, his moment of glory arrived, about which every superhero dreams, his demonstration turned into a complete disaster. Superpower Ultra Man was so used to thinking of things on a grand scale that he didn’t know how to grab and rescue a single person.
He did everything to the max, without controlling his strength or his speed, so the whole thing ended up as a painful mix of blows, bruises, scratches, shouts, broken bones and torn clothing. Hurt and half naked, the “saved” ended up calling the superhero everything under the sun, amid the loud laughter of the public and journalists. It’s possible that no superhero had ever been so embarrassed. And ever since that day, any time someone refuses to do something because they consider it to be beneath themselves, everyone remembers the case of Superpower Ultra Man and says:
-“Don’t be such a Superpower Ultra Man; if you never learn how to do the little things, you’ll never know greatness.”

The questions we answered above each refer to a different grammar topic.
1. We should use the auxiliary "do" before the subject (unless it is third-person singular) to ask questions in the simple present tense.
2. We use the auxiliary "did" for questions in the simple past. The main verb goes back to its base form.
3. We use "doesn't" for negative sentences in the simple present that have a third-person singular subject. The main verb remains in its base form.
4. "Parents" is a plural word, so we must use "have". "Haves" does not exist.
5. "Never" should be placed before the main verb of a sentence.
6. We use the present continuous (to be + verb -ing) to indicate an action that is happening at the moment of speaking.
7. Also present continuous. To form interrogative sentences, we place the verb "to be" before the subject.
8. Same explanation as number 6.
9. For actions that happened at a specific time in the past (last August), we use the simple past tense.
10. To make negative sentences in the simple past, we use "didn't". The main verb goes back to its base form.
11. Same explanation as 6. "Sitting" uses double "t" because it is a monosyllable ending in consonant + vowel + consonant.
12. Same explanation as 7.
13. To form negative sentences in the past continuous, we use "wasn't/weren't + verb -ing".
14. "Then" is used to indicate a sequence of events.
15. "Although" is used to indicate contrast between ideas in the sentence or paragraph.

Read the excerpt from Into the Unknown by Stewart Ross.
It was soon clear that the Ma Robert had serious design faults. Her engine was not powerful enough to drive her upstream against strong currents, and her boiler consumed vast quantities of wood: a day’s steaming needed one and a half day’s wood-cutting. Her hull was made of thin sheets of a new kind of steel that had not been tested. It soon developed so many holes that it leaked like a colander and had to be continually pumped out. “For us, steam was no labor-saving power,” Livingstone grumbled in his journal. He called the Ma Robert all sorts of names: “the wretched little steamer,” the “tin kettle,” and “the slow puffing Asthmatic.”
PLS HURRY UP ALREADY
Which text feature would best support the details in the excerpt?
a photograph of Charles Livingstone
an illustration of Ma Robert
a map of the African continent
a chart of the many uses of steam
Answer:
An illustration of Ma Robert
Explanation:
Ma Robert (meaning: Robert's mom) was the steamboat used by David Livingstone, a Scottish physician and missionary. It was named in honor of his wife Mary and son Robert.
The given excerpt tells us about the steamboat and its numerous flaws. The text feature that would best support these details is an illustration of Ma Robert.
The man mentioned in this passage is named David Livingstone, not Charles. The fact that a wrong name is mentioned doesn't matter, because a photo of Livingstone wouldn't be fitting either way. This passage is not about him. The same goes for the map of the African continent. The steamboat was used for expeditions on its territory, but that is not the main point. A chart of many uses of steam is also not right, because it can be applied to many things, not just this boat.
This is why an illustration of Ma Robert, like the one pictured below, would be the best feature.

Read the conversation from The Princess and the Goblin, Chapter 10, in which the king and Princess Irene talk about Irene’s great-grandmother.
“Now, my child, what shall we do next?”
This was the question he almost always put to her first after their meal together; and Irene had been waiting for it with some impatience, for now, she thought, she should be able to settle a question which constantly perplexed her.
“I should like you to take me to see my great old grandmother.”
The king looked grave and said:
“What does my little daughter mean?”
“I mean the Queen Irene that lives up in the tower—the very old lady, you know, with the long hair of silver.”
The king only gazed at his little princess with a look which she could not understand.
“She’s got her crown in her bedroom,” she went on; “but I’ve not been in there yet. You know she’s there, don’t you?”
“No,” said the king, very quietly.
“Then it must all be a dream,” said Irene. “I half thought it was; but I couldn’t be sure. Now I am sure of it. Besides, I couldn’t find her the next time I went up.”

“As to poetry, you know,” said Humpty Dumpty, stretching out one of his great hands, “I can repeat poetry as well as other folk, if it comes to that—”
“Oh, it needn't come to that!” Alice hastily said, hoping to keep him from beginning.
“The piece I'm going to repeat,” he went on without noticing her remark, “was written entirely for your amusement.”
Alice felt that in that case she really ought to listen to it, so she sat down, and said “Thank you” rather sadly.
