-"Suspicion kissed you when I did. I never knew how I should say, my love. It were a cold house I kept!" Crucible act 4
Answer:
Romantic
Explanation:
Answer/explanation:
Well to man/woman is more or likely being cheated on as he or she uses sentences like "Suspicion kissed you when I did." and "It were a cold house I kept" This leads me to believe that author was being cheated on and she/he "knew" but did not want to admit it so she/he put up with it. Now ill brake down each sentence and compare it to what I said. "Suspicion kissed you when I did" The author must have felt something off in the kiss of her lover, he/she may have been kissed in a way that made the author get suspicious of her/his lover. "I never knew how I should say, my love" I believe that she/he did not know how to tell her/his lover about his/her suspicion. Lastly, "It were a cold house I kept" Well I kind of already explained this one. Its as if the author knew but she/he did not say anything to their lover making them feeling sad and cold inside and maybe they were sharing a house so then it would make sense that it was hard for the author to be in that house, that bed, or even near her lover. But of course along with her/him being cheated on, the author themselves cold be hiding something from her/his lover makin her/him feel guilty. So the theme may be Romantic, guilty or broken but the most accurate is romantic.

Answer:
Undergirding the development of modern Europe between the 1780s and 1849 was an unprecedented economic transformation that embraced the first stages of the great Industrial Revolution and a still more general expansion of commercial activity. Articulate Europeans were initially more impressed by the screaming political news generated by the French Revolution and ensuing Napoleonic Wars, but in retrospect the economic upheaval, which related in any event to political and diplomatic trends, has proved more fundamental.

The Best Travel Experience Essay Ever
JULY 19, 2017 • ESSAY, TRAVEL TALES • VIEWS: 21076
Over the past seven years, I’ve been lucky enough to live and travel in many different countries. This has meant that I’ve regularly had experiences that other people dream of. When I think about my best travel experience ever, so many things jump out at me.
Learning to Scuba in the Great Barrier Reef. Bungy Jumping in New Zealand. Feeding elephants in Thailand. Teaching kids in Cambodia. Seeing the Christmas markets in Prague. And even cocktails on the beach in Mexico.
But one experience stands above the rest. And that was my trip to Myanmar. After meeting my bestie in Bangkok for some bonding time, we decided to take a trip to Myanmar. And after five hours of standing in the hot sun while we got our visas, I was almost ready to throw in the towel. It would all be worth it though.
We knew that wifi would be a struggle, which is why we committed to a digital detox. For our entire trip, we had to be in the moment, with no social media, no work, and complete focus on what we were doing and where we were.
For someone who is continually working and always connected, this was a challenge. But I do think it forced us to be present in a way that we wouldn’t have been if we were continually checking our phones.
First, we spent a few days in Yangon. While the Shwedagon Pagoda was a stand-out, the thing I really remember about Yangon was the food. We ate at an Indian place which is where I tasted the worst thing I’ve ever eaten. Still not sure what it was, but it tasted exactly like bile.
Next, we were on our way to Bagan. Bagan was magical with surprisingly good food, and more pagodas than we could shake a stick at. We hired a guide and spent a day on our e-bikes, clambering up some of the biggest temples and taking way too many photos.
But the highlight of the trip was the hot air balloon ride over the pagodas at sunrise. We were lucky to get a clear day, and many of the other rides had been cancelled due to poor weather. Actually standing in the hot air balloon was a weird feeling- it didn’t feel like I was floating in the air at all, and it was just like standing on the ground.
The pagodas were at their best at sunrise. They glowed in the sun, which picked up the gold and made it sparkle. While the ride was over too soon, and we had a somewhat bumpy landing, this still goes down as my best travel experience ever.
What is the correct way to write this sentence? To prove he is right Goha fakes his death." A.To prove he is right, Goha fakes his death. B.To prove he is right Goha fakes, his death. C.To prove, he is right Goha fakes his death. D.No change needs to be made.
Answer:
A.To prove he is right, Goha fakes his death.
Explanation:
The correct way to write the sentence, "To prove he is right, Goha fakes his death." is by adding a comma after the dependent clause "to prove be is right" because it not only separates the dependent and independent clause but also adds a pause.
The other options are wrong because a comma has the function of separating items or ideas in a sentence to enhance understanding.

Read this short passage and answer the questions below:
Excerpt from A Study in Scarlet
By Conan Doyle
In the year 1878 I took my degree of Doctor of Medicine of the University of London and proceeded to Netley to go through the course prescribed for surgeons in the army. Having completed my studies there, I was duly attached to the Fifth Northumberland Fusiliers as Assistant Surgeon. The regiment was stationed in India at the time, and before I could join it, the second Afghan war had broken out. On landing at Bombay, I learned that my corps had advanced through the passes and was already deep in the enemy’s country. I followed, however, with many other officers who were in the same situation as myself, and succeeded in reaching Candahar in safety, where I found my regiment, and at once entered upon my new duties. The campaign brought honors and promotion to many, but for me it had nothing but misfortune and disaster. I was removed from my brigade and attached to the Berkshires, with whom I served at the fatal battle of Maiwand. There I was struck on the shoulder by a Jezail bullet, which shattered the bone and grazed the subclavian artery. I should have fallen into the hands of the murderous Ghazis had it not been for the devotion and courage shown by Murray, my orderly, who threw me across a pack-horse, and succeeded in bringing me safely to the British lines. Worn with pain, and weak from the prolonged hardships which I had undergone, I was removed, with a great train of wounded sufferers, to the base hospital at Peshawar. Here I rallied, and had already improved so far as to be able to walk about the wards, and even to bask a little upon the verandah, when I was struck down by enteric fever. For months my life was despaired of, and when at last I came to myself and became convalescent, I was so weak and emaciated that a medical board determined that not a day should be lost in sending me back to England. I was dispatched, accordingly, in the troopship “Orontes,” and landed a month later on Portsmouth jetty, with my health irretrievably ruined.

What is the difference between denotation and connotation?
A word's literal meaning is its denotative meaning. So, for instance, the word "home" has a denotative meaning that designates a structure where people reside.
Connotative meaning, on the other hand, relates to how you personally feel about that specific word. Because it is the place where your family lives and where you are happy, the word "home" typically connotes something pleasant and warm.
Connotation that is positive. words that elicit a positive emotional reaction. For instance, calling someone who is driven and determined a "go-getter" or a young person.
A term with a negative connotation is one that makes you feel bad. For instance, phrases like "pushy," "stubborn," "nosy," and "lazy" all imply negative traits.
Connotation is the underlying meaning of a word or phrase. Depending on the language that is used to describe it, it can be either good, negative, or neutral. For instance, someone would be describing their meaning as having an ominous tone if they said, "I have a horrible feeling about this."
