Rock once said, “Don't focus on the pain, focus on the progress”. In the emotional book of Touching Spirit Bear, by Ben Mikkelsen. The character Cole Mathews did not focus on the past but focused on the present. The protagonist in Touching Spirit Bear is Close Mathews. He is a troubled teenager that gets in trouble for beating and harassing Peter Driscoll. Cole beat Peter out of hate and desperation because he has anger issues. His offenses were serious and was facing a lot of jail time. His parole officer believes that Cole can change and he doesn't deserve this so instead of sending him to jail he gets him into a program that they call Circle Justice. Cole has become more confident and courageous in the book by changing from mischievous to responsible.
Cole becomes a better person throughout the book becoming more confident and courageous. It can be seen that there was change because in the beginning he was making bad decisions for himself and while he experiences all of the ups and downs in this program he grows as a person. In one of the senses of the book, Cole burned a cabin down indicating he did commit something wrong and is acting out of madness. Although this is true, later in the same scene Cole cries expressing his emotions, which tells the readers that he knows what he did was wrong and deep down he wants to change into another person. In another scene of the book Cole decides to make dinner for everyone showing that he has changed and become loyal. He shows that he cares about others, wants to have joy in his life, he worked hard and showed that he respected others. Another way that shows Cole's improvements is when he hugs his mom showing her that he cares and that he has changed.

PLEASE ANSWER ASAP WILL GIVE BRAINLIST AND 29 POINTS!!!! Q: The group of points {(0, 1), (0, 5), (2, 6), (3, 3)} is not a function, but the group of points {(1, 4), (2, 7), (3, 1), (5, 7)} is a function. What do you notice about the two groups of points? What do you think it means to be a function?
Answer:
The first group of points is not a function due to repetition of elements in domain while second group of points is a function because no element of domain is repeated in any ordered pair.
Step-by-step explanation:
Why {(0, 1), (0, 5), (2, 6), (3, 3)} is not a function?
A relation is said to be a function if there is no repetition in the first elements of each ordered pair. In this group of points, 0 is repeated in two ordered pairs (0, 1), (0, 5) so it is not a function.

The following is a student draft. It may contain errors.
One example of scientists working to make people's lives better is through their development of underwater greenhouses, a sustainable method for producing food. One underwater greenhouse, a set of pods anchored to the sea floor just outside the coast of Italy's Liguria Region, is called Nemo's Garden.
Nemo's Garden was developed in 2012 by a company called the Ocean Reef Group. Through their experiments at Nemo's Garden, the group was able to learn that plants grow faster underwater. This discovery led the scientists to conclude that underwater greenhouses could be one way to ensure that countries experiencing drought or other conditions that impact farming would still have access to healthy food.
The pods found in Nemo's garden look similar to something one would see in a science fiction movie. The pods are various sizes and float at different depths, which keeps the plants safe. The dome at the top of each pod allows sunlight to enter, which keeps the plants warm despite the fact that the surrounding water is much cooler.
The crops in Nemo's Garden must remain hydrated to grow. Additionally, the plants must be maintained by a special group of divers and monitored twenty-four hours a day through the use of cameras and sensors.
While underwater greenhouses are not without problems—mainly due to leaking and decay—scientists are hopeful about their potential future uses.
Select the correct answer. Read the sentence from the draft. The pods are various sizes and float at different depths, which keeps the plants safe. What is the best way to revise the sentence for clarity?
A. The acrylic pods are created in many sizes, including big, small, and medium, as well as other sizes needed by the scientists; they are connected to the seafloor by chains and float some distance below the surface, so the plants are not destroyed by storms.
B. The pods, made from a hard plastic called acrylic, can hold approximately 2000 liters of air; they float at depths 20-30 feet below the ocean's surface, which keeps the plants safe from harmful weather conditions above.
C. Pods can hold thousands of liters of air and can be made into many sizes and shapes by using tough, acrylic plastic; the air and acrylic allow the pods to float several feet below the ocean's surface, so as not to become damaged from bad weather.
D. Acrylic is used to make the greenhouse pods, because it is strong and can be fashioned into a variety of sizes and shapes; acrylic floats better than other materials, so it is ideal for keeping plants safe from hazardous weather conditions.
Answer:
D. Acrylic is used to make the greenhouse pods, because it is strong and can be fashioned into a variety of sizes and shapes :acrylic floats better than other materials,so it is ideal for keeping plant s safe from haxardous weather conditions.
