Art at Gammel Strand

Wonderful sculptural work in paper by young artist Sandra Havlicek

Today the boyfriend and I went to an exhibition at Kunstforeningen Gl. Strand, which is a lovely gallery in the centre of Copenhagen. An exhibition with young artists from around Europe was on. We were allowed to snag photographs as long as no flash was used – which is why these pics are a bit underlit.

Here I am in front of Sandra Havlicek’s absolutely gorgeous piece. I’m sporting my newly acquired blazer from Ganni, which – in spite of the Italian sounding name – is a Danish brand. They have some very nice things, generally within an affordable price range. The scarf is from Lukou, which is now producing the very graphical collection “This is who I am”. It seems a bit racy to me, but the scarf is nice.

Checking out Mads Thomsen's alternative snow dome. Check out my Tumblr feed to the right side of this blog for more.

Desolate landscape inside snow dome.

Really nice pictures, I really love that you used that sculpture as a background! Looks great!

Thank you! Maybe it’s a little degrading using a work of art as a backdrop. But on the other hand, I’ve always thought that art and fashion are intricately connected to each other.

And with that, you expressed my opinion about fashion and art! I agree completely!
